Palestine's Time Has Come

I can only applaud the United Nations vote to upgrade Palestine's observer status as a non-member state. For fifty years we have stood by Israel, but now the world is tired of Israel and its increasingly self-made problems. The Israelis have had every opportunity to make peace and reach a fair settlement with the Palestinians. They refuse to do so. They exploit every excuse to perpetuate the conflict. It is time that we withdrew our support from Israel.
